Bryan Pardo

Associate Professor

You can find Bryan Pardo's website here. Bryan is an associate professor in the Northwestern University Department Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a courtesy appointment in Northwestern's School of Music. When he's not computing or teaching, he performs with a variety of groups in the Chicago area on clarinet and saxophone.

Bongjun Kim

Ph.D. Candidate

Bongjun Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in EECS at Northwestern University. He is also a Segal Design Cluster Fellow. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Ajou University, and M.S. in Culture Technology from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). His current research interests include interactive machine learning, audio/music information retreival and HCI. He also enjoy creating musical interface and interactive media art.

Prem Seetharaman

Ph.D. Student

Prem Seetharaman is a Ph.D. student in EECS at Northwestern University. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University with a second major in Music Composition. He occasionally writes music.

Fatemeh Pishdadian

Ph.D. Student

Fatemeh is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. She received her EE from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, and her M.Sc. in ECE from George Mason University. Her research interest lies in the application of signal processing methods to the analysis of audio/music.

Ethan Manilow

Ph.D. Student

Ethan is a Ph.D. student in the Technology and Social Behavior program. He has a BS in Physics and a BFA in Jazz Studies (concentrating on guitar) from the University of Michigan. After graduating in 2013, he worked in Austin, TX for two years as a software engineer at National Instruments. Other than music and computers, Ethan likes comedy and playing with his dog.

Aaron Karp

Undergraduate Student

Aaron is a senior computer science and music double major at Northwestern University. He is conducting research in the area of user interfaces for audio production for user by people with visual impairements. In his free time, Aaron likes to play viola, make electronic music, and petting other people's dogs.

Julia Wilkins

Undergraduate Student

Julia is a Junior at Northwestern University double majoring in Music Technology and Computer Science. Her interests lie in Music Information Retrieval and User Interface Design, and she is currently developing a mobile application that generates automatic chordal harmony based on a user's sung input. In her free time, Julia enjoys playing on Northwestern's Ultimate Frisbee Team.

Michael Donovan

Undergraduate Student

Michael is a junior at Northwestern University majoring in Computer Science. He is interested in creating new software tools to facilitate the creation of music and sound. In his free time, Michael likes to play guitar and make electronic music.
